This is a large painting of the most recognizable and iconic structures in Mom and Dad's hometown.  Veteran's Memorial Bridge replaced the old Combination Bridge which was built in 1896 and used until the current bridge opened in January 1981. Oddly, I have distinct memories of going over the original Combination Bridge, but since I was born in 1979 and it closed at the beginning of 1981, the latest age I could have been was 20 months old when we visited in December of 1980. Strange how a memory like that can be burned in my mind so clearly, yet how many times do I misplace my keys?
